Kimberly Clark, one of the most respected companies in the world, makes Huggies Pull Ups Flushable Wipes. The moist wipe that is truly flushable and actually breaks up after flushing, not like some of the other advertised flushable wipe products.

If you don’t believe me test them yourself, I did. It’s easy, the next time you buy wipes that say flushable on theHuggies Pull UPs package put one of them in a jar with water and let it sit for a day or so; shake the jar once in a while. After a day see how much the wipe breaks down, then you will know what happens after you flush it down the toilet. Oh, they’re flushable alright, but how will they break down in your pumps, pipes, and septic tanks?

There are only three wipes I can depend on that will definitely break down and they’re all made by Kimberly-Clark. They are “Scotts”, “Cottonelle”, and “Pull Ups”. They are the only wipes I would use if I had an RV, or a Septic tank. Also, the only wipes I would feel comfortable flushing down the toilet at my home.

Kimberly Clark conducts proper testing to make sure their products meet all required standards and they actually mean it when they say the product can be flushed down the toilet without causing any problems.

This Video shows the trouble that’s caused when wipes that are labeled flushable are not truly flushable. You will note that Kimberly-Clark wipes are not part of the problem.

I have already reviewed “Cottonelle Flushable Toilet Wipes” and “Scott Flushable Toilet Wipes”, now I want to review, “Pull Ups Flushable Toilet Wipes”.

Below is a list of the chemicals used to make this product and why these particular chemicals are used; how they benefit the user.

In Canada and the United States Kimberly-Clark does not use chlorine bleaching for pulps used in making this product. Instead they use a process called Elemental chlorine-free bleaching which does not create dioxins during the bleaching process.

What Features Do Pull Ups Flushable Wipes Have?

  • Safeflush Technology:   In Kimberly-Clark’s own words they sayOur innovative flushable products are engineered to rapidly lose strength as soon as they are flushed and move through properly maintained plumbing, sewage or septic systems. These innovative products are engineered to rapidly lose strength as soon as they are flushed and move through properly maintained plumbing, sewage or septic systems”.
  • We stand behind the claims of our flushable wipes for a variety of reasons.
    • Kimberly-Clark’s flushable products meet or exceed widely accepted industry guidelines for flushability and the Federal Trade Commission’s standards on flushability.
    • Our flushable cleansing cloths use a patented dispersible technology that allows them to be strong in the package and durable for wiping, but to break up after flushing to clear properly maintained toilets, drain-lines, sewers, pumps, and septic and municipal treatment systems.

Further, in the most recent and largest sewer collection study, conducted in New York City in 2016, not a single Kimberly-Clark flushable wipe was found. Most of the materials collected in the NYC study were not designed to be flushed or labeled as “flushable,” but are instead non-flushable materials (including baby wipes, household cleaning wipes, make-up removal wipes, feminine hygiene products, and restroom paper towels) known to burden wastewater infrastructure.

  • Kimberly-Clark is committed to helping consumers understand what is – and is not – safe to flush, and will continue to work closely with industry groups to ensure that accurate information is promoted”

As well as the Safeflush Technology other features include:

  • Pre-moistened and alcohol freeSafeflush Technology Symbol
  • Contains Aloe and Vitamin E
  • Great to use on Baby’s skin during potty training, and they smell nice.
  • Stay Moist: shelf life for unopened packages is approximately two years.
  • Always have the “Safeflush Technology” symbol on the package.

Compare Pull Ups Flushable Wipes To Other Products

I have personally conducted tests using many other products and the only products I found to break down quickly were Kimberly-Clark’s “Pull Ups”, “Scotts”, and “Cottonelle” Flushable wipes. I would use them above any other product wipes on the market. They are forensically proven to work.
